Since man has been exploring outer space, astronauts have been faced with the effect of zero gravity, which threatens to weaken their bones and tissues through lack of stress upon their body cells. For this reason, Four NASA scientists carried out the first-ever research into the use of the trampoline, with the evidence surfing to suggest that bouncing is superior exercise.

Dr. Wade, exercise physiologist at The London Hospital Medical College, said that much exercise in space is performed bouncing off the walls of the craft so that astronauts can keep themselves fit by applying some stress to their bones. As he explained, the bone cells of these astronauts benefits from the bouncing motion. The amount work performed by your cells when jumping will exaggerate the normal effects of gravity. As you land on you bouncer you are decelerating with the additional force coming up. Your falling weight is placing extra stress on you cells which will help to strengthen them.
